Hello,

I've got a Dell 390 I'm trying to use with NetBSD and the cd boot
boots to the point where it says "boot device: cd0" and then everything
comes to a grinding halt with a series of error messages:

piixide0:1:0 lost interrupt
[ 32.4489783] type: atapi tc_bcount: 0 tc_skip: 0

and these continue to repeat with nothing being read from the cd. It
does it the same with the internal cd and with a USB cd.

I'm using the NetBSD-9.0/amd64 boot cd.

This appears to be a very old bug ... I found it reported in PR 47592.
That report was with 6.0/i386.

The fix in the PR doesn't work on the Dell 390. Does anyone have
a suggestion on what might be the problem?

You mean, your system doesn't have a AGCI mode in BIOS ?
